Suffrago takes the voice of the people, and runs it through our Voce Populi engine. Our engine then generates professional grade survey questions that represent the opinions of those who made the statements, which other users then vote upon collating the voice of the people.

When processing statements the Voce Populi engine extracts associated keywords, potential political leaning in the statement, alongside different emotional states; this decomposition of the statement is fully viewable by the submitter. When the statements are collated we take the average of these dimensions so we can reflect the mood of the people in our generated survey question.

The first thing that the Voce Populi engine does is check to see whether the statement submitted violates our terms of service which prohibit: the advocacy of violence, extreme racism or bigotry, or malicious targeting towards a group or an individual. We are advocates of civil dialogue, not hatred and vitriol. If a user submits such a statement it is flagged for our administrative team to review and take appropriate action. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences of action.
