Suffrago: Our Mutual Agreement

TL;DR: Treat others with the respect you want to be treated with.

Below you can see the user agreement and terms of service required to use Suffrago. Before this we need to talk about an important, but controversial, issue and how we handle it at Suffrago: Freedom of Speech.

Let's talk "Freedom of Speech"

Suffrago is designed to be used as a platform where you can share what's on your mind, free of the fear of cancellation, and see what other people are wanting to talk about. Essentially we are a platform that believes in the right to free speech.

However. Freedom of Speech does not mean immunity from consequences. We will not ban or terminate your account for saying things that we disagree with, or for statements that get overwhelmingly disagreed with. We, alongside our political neutrality council, will work tirelessly to ensure a range of viewpoints are available on the platform.

Let us make this clear: If you use our platform to adovocate for violent action towards any individual or group, we may: ban your account, terminate your account, and in extreme circumstances provide your details to relevant law enforcement agencies. We do not take such action lightly, and in these cases we will consult our advisory councils to determine whether this is an appropriate course of action.

This ensures that we are keeping the members of our platform, and our elected officials safe; which is our number one priority. This isn't cancellation, it is the consequence of your actions.
