Are you supportive of the UK rejoining the Erasmus+ student exchange programme?

The UK will rejoin the EU’s Erasmus+ student exchange programme from the 2027–28 academic year, following a deal agreed with Brussels.

The scheme enables students to study, train or work abroad in EU countries, and UK participation had ended after Brexit.

The agreement includes a financial contribution of around £570 million for the first year, negotiated at a reduced rate.

Erasmus+ supported over 100,000 people a year from the UK before its withdrawal.

Supporters argue that rejoining expands educational and cultural opportunities for young people, while critics question the cost and whether the UK’s domestic Turing scheme should continue alongside it.
