Councils can limit junk-food advertising on public land, but not on privately owned billboards.
A recent amendment in Parliament proposed giving local authorities new powers to regulate harmful advertising near places children spend time. The amendment did not pass.
What do you think?
Should local councils have the power to restrict fast-food advertising near schools, youth clubs, and other places where young people spend time?
