"It is safe to cycle in Glasgow City". To what extent do you agree?

Only one in 10 of Glaswegians feel they can cycle for everyday journeys as much as they would like to, according to 2020 research.

This was largely due to a lack of safe places to cycle.

However, five years on we have seen the completion and progress of several segregated cycleways.

For example, the South City Way, a link between St George’s Road and Sauchiehall street and a new stretch past Celtic Park in the East End.

That said, much of the planned 270km cycle route remains incomplete.

For example, the North City Way, links between Dennistoun, Greater Gorbals, Yoker and Whiteinch.

Some areas are still waiting for funding allocations like North Maryhill, Anderston, Woodlands, North Cardonald, Pollokshaws, Anniesland, and Robryston.
