Are you satisfied with Glasgow City Council's fireworks policy?

“Adult fireworks” can be bought by those aged 18+ from registered sellers on certain dates around November, December, Diwali and Chinese New Year, for use in a private place between 6-11pm.

It’s illegal to set them off at any other time or event except for Bonfire Night, New Year’s Eve, the night of Chinese New Year and Diwali.

This year, Pollokshields, Govanhill and Broomhouse saw firework control zones orders which banned fireworks during 1-10 November.

Some locals feel fireworks threaten their safety, cause disturbances, and negatively impact animals, and cost taxpayers.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it responded to 751 emergency calls on Bonfire Night across Scotland.

Others value fireworks for social events and celebrations.
