Do you support resident doctors who are going on strike?

Resident doctors in England are striking from 14–19 November over long-standing concerns about pay and job prospects.

The British Medical Association argues that their real-terms pay is around 20% lower than in 2008, despite recent increases.

The union also highlights a growing crisis in career progression: in 2025, over 30,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 specialist training posts, leaving many without jobs at a crucial stage in their careers.

Although the government has expanded training places, the BMA says it's not enough and has rejected offers that don’t address pay or job shortages.
